Guest namvetschrysler
I was wondering if anyone knows just what type of radiator core the 1930 Chrysler 66 had in it when it was first produced, was it the Honeycomb type or the more conventional type as we know it, i know that a lot of the Veterans had Honeycomb. Most photo's of the 66 that i have seen showed the conventional type core. anyone know for sure.Mine has the conventional type in it as it did when i got it , won't be buying a Honeycomb type at around $2500:eek::eek::eek: that's for sure

ply33
I believe they were of the "Auburn" style of honeycomb but my original source for that is very non-authoritative.
nzcarnerd
If it is anything like the core in my '29 Plymouth only the faces are honeycomb and it has a more conventional ribbon core inside. The 1926 Pontiac core appears to be the same. Both of these are replacements but were done a long time ago.
