Guest shadetree77
I'm looking for a set of lenses for the trunk handle on my 52 Special. I need the lenses that say "Dyna" and "Flow". They can be completely faded and colorless or even slightly stress cracked. They do not have to be in perfect condition, just better than the ones I have now(which contain so many stress cracks you can't see the letters). Guest shadetree77
Thanks for the links progoofoff. I've looked at the reproduction lenses in all the normal places(CARS, Bobs, etc.) and find them a little pricey for my needs at the moment. Instead, I was looking more for a set of lenses that are not in perfect shape that I could restore like I did with my hood emblem. Save a little dough and still have that vintage look. What would be perfect for me is if somebody had their old take-off lenses lying around from when they bought some re-pops. Thanks again for the response! Guest shadetree77
Sounds good Scott. If they don't have a lot of stress cracks, and you can find them, I'll take em'. According to Bob's the lenses will fit all models from 1950-1952 so they should work. I'll PM you. Thanks!!
Guest shadetree77
i got the motor back in the car for the 7th timeNow that's dedication to the hobby right there!! I get frustrated when I have to do something small more than twice, I couldn't imagine putting an engine in and out 7 times! You must be an expert by now. I'll have to give you a call when I re-build mine!! I'm moving along slowly. I'm still working on putting my oiling system back together. I've been slacking by going to so many car shows lately. I remember reading about the problems you were having with that. I don't know if I missed it or what, but I didn't find out what the problem was. Rounded off gear you say? Was that on the linkage or in the trans?
