Guest 51c8Joe
AA general question concerning my 35 four door sedan. Pontiac shared a body with Chevrolet in that year, Hampton Coach offers an interior kit for 35 Chevy Master sedans. Will the interior kit work for my Pontiac? A local upholsterer bid $4500 to redo my car, but I just can't pop that much in one go. With the "kit" I can buy pieces-door panels, seats, headliner, etc- individually and stretch out the pain. Any comments are welcome. Thanks for you help. Joe
Willys77
Would probably "fit" but may not be the "correct" pattern for your particular Pontiac.
Restorer32
Bear in mind that if you buy the interior piecemeal the color of the material may not match from one dye batch to another. Same reason I have 20 black socks all of which seem to be a slightly different shade.
Guest 51c8Joe
Willys77 Thanks for your response, I'm less interested in being correct than I am in being useable. This will never be a showcar, more of a toy I can leave to my kids.Restorer 32You're right. I'll have to think about that. Also, maybe we could compare socks and make up some matched sets. Thanks to both of you Joe
Guest Foggy norm
Hi Joe, I've gotta 31 and the same problem. Feel good, your car is "newer", interested in what you deside.
Guest 51c8Joe
Foggy Norm I found out the kits fit, but are not exactly what Pontiac delivered. Also, the price of the kit components are within $300 of my bid. I'll pay to have it done as my upholsterer will put an original look for not much more money. I'm finding out that Pontiac parts and services are pointed at GTO,s and Firebirds. That's life, I guess.Joe
poci1957
I'm finding out that Pontiac parts and services are pointed at GTO,s and Firebirds. There is no question about that, if you have a flathead Pontiac you cannot normally just pick up a catalog and order parts. BUT you can at www.pontiacparts.net , a must for any old Pontiac owner. This won't help with your upholstery but it will for mechanical parts. Todd C
