Guest sintid58
Pulling the mountain out of Arvin Ca last night the transmission gave out on our truck. Full load of iceberg lettuce grossing 79560 pounds so it gave the wrecker a work out. Won't get in the shop until Monday and maybe not out until midweek. The boss is delivering in LA tomorrow and bringing us his truck because we are a team and he will wait for our truck to get fixed. Its cheaper for him to sit hear than to pay us for sitting. We couldn't have broke down in a better place, Tina's brother lives in Bakersfield so we are staying with them.

NCReatta
Is this the same one that just passed 1,000,000 miles? I wonder if the new transmission will hold for another million...
Guest sintid58
We loaded at Santa Maria and were on 233 almost to 58. That wasn't Church Brothers you loaded at was it I have had good and bad luck there. The worst places we load are Mann and Taylor in Salinas. This transmission would not have went bad if the lines to the trans cooler hadn't leaked all the grease out.
Guest Kingoftheroad
Sorry to hear it, at least she broke down in a place you could take advantage of the down time...
Reatta Man
Kinda reminds me of the Air Force's C-5 aircraft on their way to or back from Korea or Japan. They stop at Hickam AFB to refuel. They sure do break down a lot in Hawaii........sometimes have to stay there an extra 2-3 days while a part is flown in and installed. Hmmm.......
