Kingpin Disassembly Question....

OK I'm old but I'm so old I can't remember the proper way to disassemble the kingpins.

I know they are threaded... I want to remove the springs so I can cut a coil and see how low that makes my '52... I want to install the Olds engine I have and kind of see what the ride height will be so I can install some lowering blocks in the rear.

The amazing thing about this old Catalina is, despite it's sad looks, the brakes look fine (except they are froze!) and the kingpins actually take grease!

If all is well on the front end I'll just clean things up a tad and will skip rebuilding the front end...
