Guest Kloller
I am looking for three parts. I need the two gears for the windsheild crank that allows the windsheild to go up and down. These are the two gears inside of the crank housing. One is a spur type gear with 12 teeth. The other one is more like a worm gear that has 3 teeth. Also looking for the throttle/turn signal assembly that mounts on the steering column. keiser31
I don't know of any turn signals on a 1930 Plymouth. You must be talking about the headlight switch lever.
Guest Kloller
I am sure your correct. Not my car just trying to help a freind find parts. Maybe headlight switch. I know he said it had two levers and one of them controlled the idle/choke on startup.
Guest martylum
Hi-I have a 30 Desoto with the same setup on the center of the steering wheel-the 2 levers are for hand throttle and the headlight switch. You seem to be missing one of the 2 levers and the upper bakelite ring and horn button.i had new levers cast up some years ago and might still have some pieces left. Have you friend contact me for more info on replacement levers.I believe White Post Restorations in VA had new gears made for the windshield glass transmission-check with them on availability.Martin Lummarty@oldercar.com1930 Desoto roadster
Guest Kloller
Thanks Marty. I'll check with the guys in VA on the gears. He has both of the levers, he needs the round bakelite part. Any ideas on this piece ?

Guest Kloller
I sent White post restorations an e-mail. Their response is they no longer reproduce these gears and they dont sell parts. Other suggestions ?
dneivandt
I have a very similar if not identical mechanism on my 1930 Dodge DC-8 coupe. The gears are reproduced by The Filling Station http://www.fillingstation.com/The correct kit for my car is FS 205, you would need to check which of the two options is correct for your application (hopefully one of them is).regards,David
