Guest oakland
While detailing the motor compartment of my 29 Oakland, i removed the generator to repaint it. I removed the cover band and noticed the wiring was starting to get bad. I had the generator rebuilt and installed it back in the car. I started the car and the ampmeter neddle swing from extreme positive to extreme negative. It keeps doing that and won't stabalize. Could someone tell me what to look for. The ampmeter was fine before I had the generator worked on. I know the obvious suspect would be the generator, but should I look at anything else before removing it. I had most of the wiring under the hood disconnected and reinstalled them. I took pictures before working on thecar and am sure I got everything back as origional. thanks
