Help Identifying Vintage Lincoln ? Emblem

Hi,

You guys were kind enough to help me identify some vintage enamel emblems that a friend of mine found in his grandfather's attic last year.

Well, he found one more emblem recently - not enamel and we're both assuming it is off a Lincoln, but we haven't been able to positively identify it.

It is stamped with a casting number on the back - 3025930 - and I have attached a picture of it.

Any help??

Something like your emblem is shown in a 1957 Warshawsky's catalog as part of a Continental Kit

for '55-'56 Fords and other cars. The illustration is too small for certainty,

but I'd lay odds that it's an aftermarket item.

What else did you find?

Thanks for the info on the Continental kit; I suppose it is quite likely that it's an aftermarket piece as I haven't been able to find anything like it online.

This was/is the last piece we found at my friend's Grandfather's place. The other emblems were mostly enamel pieces from the 1930s-1950s and they have all been sold or given away. This emblem just fell down behind a cabinet and didn't get noticed when the other emblems were found.

I've seen something like that on a '59 Meteor. When I get home I'll post it.

Confirmed, Landman got it. The emblem goes on the hood of a 1959 Meteor.

You're right; sort of makes sense that an older Canadian would have a Canadian-only emblem laying around
