Bushwack
Are there are ABS/brake related (included wheel sensors) differences between a 1989 vs 1990 Reatta?Also...am I correct that 1989 model year did not have a key fob? DAVES89
The '88 did not have remote keyless entry. The '89-91 did. The Teves system is the same including sensor leads for the '88-90 Reattas.
NCReatta
No brake system changes that I know of..'89 did have Keyless Entry. '88 didn't.
Bushwack
Thanks Dave and Marck. Anyone have a picture of an '89 keyless entry they can post (no need if it is the same as a '90).
NCReatta
It's the exact same..
Guest Recian
so my 89 i was told was a "base model" not like there are too many options to separate the trim levels on a reatta but can i add keyless to it? being a base will i need to add the module or.. just program a remote to it? NCReatta
You have everything you need except a remote with batteries, Recian. The module and antenna should already be there.

padgett
Might mention that the four button Cadillac remote of the same period will work, is much more common, and is easier to use (buttons are bigger).
KDirk
Padgett,Concur with that. I use Cadillac remotes for mine (actually I programmed my Deville and 91 Reatta to use the same remotes) as they have the better buttons and can be opened up and cleaned when they get too scummed up. The OE Buick remotes are sealed units, and except for the battery cover, cannot be snapped open for cleaning. The Caddy remotes are also much easier to find, the keyfob model needed was used from 93-95 on all Cadillac models with RKE.
