Guest E-MAN
My son 'E-Man' drives a 1989 Reatta and the gas door will not close. Our mechanic asked me to see if I could find one. I guess the whole thing needs to be replaced? You guys tell me.Reatta Mom
NCReatta
You may just need the latch itself, it depends on what is broken. It's either the par attached to the door itself, or the latch inside. Do you have an idea which?
Guest E-MAN
Gosh, my son says that he believes it is the latch inside. His car looks just like yours

Nittany
You may indeed need a replacement latch. A good mechanic would at least try to adjust the mechanism before requesting a replacement . . . worked for me!
Guest steveskyhawk
The most likely cause (and easiest to fix) of this problem is a broken plastic catch that is on the inside of the fuel door. If this is the case you can remove and replace it with 2 #15 torx. I have lots of those if you need one. I usually provide small items like that for free with any purchase from my eBay store.
