Leif Holmberg
Need help to identify a front fender for a friend, I think it is for a 490 model, but don`t know the year and model. It has a pressing as shown on the photo with white pencil. His left fender dosen`t have that pressing. Layden B
I think that one fender was simply struck deeper in the press when it was formed. This is a simple punch press adjustment when setting up the dies but difficult to keep all parts absolutely identical due to many variables. Leif Holmberg
When I put my fingers inside the left fender I couldn`t feel any pressing at all.The right fender have a pressing about 1/24 to 1/16"high outside. When looking at my 1923-1924 Buick:s there are no differens between the pressing on the fenders. Leif Holmberg
Someone with a Chevy arond 1920 could take a look at their car and compare, the right fender is a little bit higher too.Maybe the right fender it`s not for a 490 model.? Thank Leif in Sweden.
