Guest cliffv
Ok my 89 soft top is finly showing it's age, I think I just got my last year out of it. As I start look to replace it I'm seeing bid from 1,600 to $5500. You owners out there got some good words of wisdon for a poor guy up North.
Guest StudeDude 01
You can save a lot of cash if you do it yourself. It depends on your patience and mechanical inclination. Convertibletopguys.com carry the top as well as the headliner and instructions for installation. Cloth tops cost more than the vinyl but tend to wear longer. ghostymosty
Post your location and someone close to you who watches TC parts for sale will probably be able to steer you to a complete soft top from a car being parted out. If you go that route then there are only 3 bolts on each side of the back (after removing the hardtop holddowns at the side windows) and an adjustment at the front to change the assembly. Just remember to mark the outline of the rear brackets (with the 3 bolts) with grease pencil so you get the replacement top in the same place.
