New junkyard seats don't fit....

I found a decent pair of usable seats in a '49 Pontiac coupe.... I'm having a heck of a time test fitting the rear seat cushions into my hardtop... they seem too wide...

I forgot to look to see if the coupe had arm rests...

I pulled them myself so I know what I bought.... any ideas?

hi krooser, then the rear seat you have won't fit right, you have to stay with the same body style, you can use the rear seat from a pontiac or chevy hardtop, 1950 to 1952. maybe a 1950 olds 88 two door hardtop, charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.

I could remove the arm rest bracket from the inner fender panel... I'll have to see if that will give me the room I need... although I really like the armrest!

Well I test fit those new seats I got from Dan...they are about 1' narrower than those found in a sedan...wow what a difference!
