Terry Bond
I received the following info from Chesapeake Region AACA. Art Rutledge was a tremendous supporter of our library and a great personal friend. He was one of the first to welcome us to the Baltimore area many years ago and I always considered him a true gentleman of the hobby and a mentor. I would hope a lot of members would make a suitable donation to our library in his memory. The hobby has lost another fine person. It is with regret that we advise you of the passing of Arthur Rutledge on Sept. 11th. Viewing will be on Friday, September 16th from 5 to 8 PM at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, PA and the funeral will be held on Saturday the 17th at noon at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 20901 Mt. Zion Road in Freeland, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arthur's name may be made to a charity of your choice.Terry

Guest Bookreader
I could not agree more with Terry on the person that was Art Rutledge. He was a gentle gentleman. A strong supporter of the formation and the program of the AACA Library. Art was the reason I was on the Library Board. It is a story of immediate decision making by a request from Art and the Library became an important part and still is an important part of my committment within AACA.Art and his wife June were friends of ours and we toured together and had great fun in the early years of our family's participation in AACA and region activities. He made one feel welcome and included and that is so important to a new person. His friendship is one that shall be remembered and tresured.
