The pins where the connector for the clutch wires plug in.

One has round pins the other flat.

In a pinch they can be converted with an adapter.

Otherwise the compressor should fit and work fine.

Probably better off looking for a proper 90 though unless the 88 is just too good a deal to pass up. (like free)

The one I received from Techchoice was designed for both R-12 and R-134a, or so the catalog said. I flushed the system and used Estercool oil so if I want to change to 134a I won't have to worry about lubricant.

Compressor does not care what it is pumping so long as it is lubed, more a matter of the lubricant being compatible with the refrigerant. As long as getting under 40F from the outlet when it is 90+ out, I am happy.

Meanwhile the "100 days of summer" are nearing the end, weather seems cooler/dryer already.
