Hi. I am looking for someone trustworthy to look at a 58 special for sale on ebay at Duncan BC. I was thinking that if the parts on it were any good for me, then I could buy it, someone willing to take it to strip could have the rest of the car, including engine, gearbox, diff, trunk etc. I have a wagon. I will need to ship the parts down to Longbeach Ca. If anyone is interested or has any other ideas I will look forward to hearing from you, Rob in Australia. Buick | eBay

Rob, this car was advertised for $1000 on this site 1950 - 1959 - Team Buick Classifieds before going to eBay. He also has a 58 Limited parter for $500.

What parts in particular are you looking for?

Wish I was closer I'd be glad to help. Let me know if you run up on anything on the east coast that would work.

Hi Rob

I may be able to help you, I have a friend in Brisbane who is a Buick Club member and he brings in a few containers of cars and parts every year for himself and friends. I can put you together with him and I help from Los Angeles.

What parts do you need? I know of a four door hardtop that is for sale, so maybe something can be worked out. What color is your car?

Email me at steveclassic@earthlink.net

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for good chrome that could go on the car as is. Mainly tail lights, nearly all rear bumper pieces, front bumper stops, parking light assemblies and trim underneath, headlight assemblies, complete grille, heater box, radiator support panel and stone guard. I can repair most of what I have but am trying to see if I can get as much as I can for good money. Unfortunately on a tight budget but willing to pay for the right stuff. Rob.

Hi. What sort of costs would be involved in getting a car from just over the canadian border to california? Taxes? Any idea on transport costs? Thanks, Rob.

I sent a couple of emails and just waiting to hear back. I have spoken to a couple of junkyards this morning and they are telling me they are crushing cars, Wyoming classic cars told me that have crushed all their cars. Thats a shame.
