Jolly_John
Hi, Gang. According to the body manual, the various pivoting joints of my 1971 Skylark convertible top frame should be lubricated periodically. I know that I shouldn't use very much lube to avoid staining the top pads and liner. However, what kind of lubricant is the best to use for this purpose? Thanks. rocketraider
Seems I remember the Olds books saying something about either "light machine oil" (3-in-1 or similar) or possibly 30 weight. It does emphasize wiping away excess to avoid staining.
Bhigdog
I would highly recommend using a hypo syringe or precision oiler for the job. One drop per hinge would be way enough and would last for years.............Bob
