Guest Johnboy650
Introducing a rare 1950 Plymouth "Special Deluxe" Convertible with canary-yellow exterior and dark red interior. This car was purchased in 1985 from the estate of the original owner. Specs & Details: 71,620 miles, Engine: 6 cylinder flat head, manual transmission, O.E.M. factory features & options, driven and maintained to high standards. Always pampered and stored in a garage. The older repaint still gleams with a nice luster, however several areas of the paint have light to moderate crazing in the 30 year old paint, along with typical chips and light blemishes (generally expected from 60+ years on the road). The can be driven and enjoyed as is, or a great candidate for a full restoration. The car has light surface rust in the rocker panels as well as a small area in the trunk, typical areas on "survivor" convertibles. Floors were clean and rust free when we removed the seats to install the seat belts. The weather stripping, chrome and stainless are in overall good shape with a slight tarnish and some minor pitting, scratches and a few dings. The convertible top and headliner are in overall good condition. The hydraulic top was just serviced and operates perfectly. The newer interior and rubber mat flooring are in great condition. All new radiator, hoses and battery. Many NOS parts just Installed (not shown in photos) 4 new chrome latch red seat belts, new parking light lenses, new chrome horn ring and horn button. The car also comes with a new trunk rubber seal and 4 new bumper guards in a box. All the gauges light up and work. The car is mechanically perfect and is a ton of fun to drive. She has remarkably tight steering and smooth shifting. Neat and rare open car for the price. $16,500 OBO. oldrideguide@gmail.comTest drives and inspections welcome.
