ply33 Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 Reprints of the factory service manuals are available for Plymouths of that era, so I expect you can find one for Dodge too. If not, the Dodge L-6 engine is basically the same as the Plymouth so you could use a Plymouth manual.That basic engine in one form or another was built from 1933 to about 1972 so parts and information about it are pretty easy to come by. Egge Machine, Terrill Machine and Vintage Powerwagons are probably the second place to look for parts. The first place would be your local better auto supply. auburnseeker Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 Actually a Motors manual from the 1950's that covers all cars is pretty much all you need. I used one (hardbound with blue covers) to rebuild the engine in my 1936 Chrysler, also a 6. I bought the original factory manual and ended up not using it. The Motors manual was much better.
