well, i was in the middle of taking apart my rocker shaft assembly and one of my brackets cracked clean in two.... Does anybody have one of these laying around for a 52 straight 8-263? I've searched the net in all the usual buick parts sites as well as ebay and cant find one. Also, one of the last brackets is stuck. Any thoughts on how to get it off without cracking it too?

Dear Shadetree:

Ok, heres some info:

Parts group 0.329 lists 1308711 as the rocker arm stand bracket for the first two stands. Interchange is all small straight eights 1946-1952.

Parts group 0.329 lists 1300032 as the rocker arm stand bracket for stands 3 thru 8. Interchange is all small straight eights 1946-1952.

Bad news: You have to know WHICH bracket you're talking about.

Good news: wide interchange range and should be easy to get.

Caution: Be REAL CAREFUL on re-assembly, otherwise the rockers will oil starve!!!

Regards, Dave Corbin

Greg, I'm working on getting a picture to you. My home internet is down and I cant upload pictures to my email through my phone. I hope to use a neighbors net today and send it to you asap.
