I commend Hugo Pfau's book "The Custom Body Era" to you. I understand that coachbuilders like LeBaron did not actually make their own body hardware like doorhandles, but purchased these, selected for quality and style, from trade suppliers/manufacturers. By various techniques you can duplicate these exactly if you have a sample. There were two different style small nameplates. Bill Greer of the Stutz Club once offered me one of the later style, but it was not correct for my late 1927or nearly 1928 Stutz 145"wb 5p which has a small integral trunk with a curved top-hinged lid between the rear mudguards/fenders. If you can provide us with sufficient exact detail of an early one, including good close digital photo file, dimensions, and if possible an impression, my son will be happy to make you exact duplicate for your needs by whichever technique is appropriate.
