WillBilly53
Is there a way to plug or disengage the heater on a 1953 Super. There's two hoses coming from the engine and up to the heater core/fan underneath the front bench seat on the passenger side. I don't plan on using it and I'd like to just remove it all and I guess plug the hoses? Do i just make it a continuous route out of one hose bypassing the entire hearing unit? Any ideas? Guest rsd9699
Is it leaking? It will not always be summer - ha ha.You can get rubber caps at the auto box stores to cap the places you remove the hoses from on the engine.Ron
Ben Bruce aka First Born
There are nipples at the engine that the hoses attach to. Remove then and insert pipe plugs. Problem solved. Ben

60FlatTop
You can keep the origin looks by soldering copper caps on the inlet and outlet of the heater. The 5/8" ones let the hose slide right over and clamp. that keeps an original look and doesn't disturb a lot.Bernie
