keiser31
I love that the caption under the photo says "1939 Plymouth".
Shop Rat
Yeah, I noticed that too. Oh well, many times the person writing the "cut lines" under photos is not the same person that writes the article. My dad was a newspaper editor, that's how I know that. Dave Mellor NJ
They must have been momentarily confused by the location, Plymouth, Mich. Thanks for posting, Sue.
Matt Harwood
It also says the chassis was constructed of plexiglass, not the body. I understand mistakes, but two in one sentence? Failure journalism.
Dandy Dave
No body Rot on that! I think I would like to take it for a Holloween ride with some of my ghoulish friends. I bet it would turn some heads. Dandy Dave!
60FlatTop
Is it media or auction hype that creates this stuff. I knew about this car when I was 12, 50 years ago. I have never seen it referred to as a Ghost car any of the times it has shown up over the years. It is just the transparent Worlds Fair Pontiac, certainly nothing eerie or ghostly was used until this auction.Just lame.Bernie
Guest Foggy norm
What he said. Shame you couldn't tour in it, those transparent fenders wouldn't transparent.
trimacar
How do you keep plexiglass from cracking and crazing? It's amazing that it appears to be in such excellent condition.A bargain for a well-funded museum, wonder who bought it.....
