Guest spiering.lucas
here is the car in questionhttps://picasaweb.google.com/clementeandre3k/Jun202011?authkey=Gv1sRgCLHc2oq7-p-jKA&feat=directlink#5621949098582288466My driftwood has black trim and black pinstripes. I assume this is original because I have seen other driftwoods with this color combo.
Barney Eaton
In 1990 there were 8 pinstripe colors. White, Slate, Gray, Black, Dark Blue, Gold, Red, Dark Red. There was no restriction on the stripe color, although the order form recommended the pinstripe match the interior color. In many cases that was not possible, so the dealer ordered the color of his choice. With that said, it seems you COULD order a Driftwood exterior with a Blue or Red stripe, any color you wanted. Of course the Gold would be very difficult to see on a Driftwood car, as Red would be useless on a Red car.

Jim
Our Driftwood convertible came as a stripe delete. We put on some brown tape stripes so the sides wouldn't look so plain. When I bought my Select 60 someone had added red stripes but I took them off so the car would be correct. With Domenic's help I got a silver award at Seattle a few years ago.
