Guest Rob J
I need to replace essentially all of the vac hoses in the 65 401 I just bought, as they all seem original to the car, are rock hard, and I have some major vac leaks. Where are you guys typically sourcing these parts? Is it possible to find the color striped vac hoses used in the HVAC system? I know I could just get some standard hose, but seems to me a color cordinated hose system would make re-doing the lines alot easier to follow. Also, is anybody making a power steering cap gasket? Jim Cannon
I hand painted the colored stripes on my vacuum hose.I don't know of anyone that sells the PS pump reservoir gasket. Make one out of sheet gasket material, maybe? You need to be careful not to overfill the reservoir. The fluid expands quite a bit when it gets hot. 60FlatTop
I removed all the hoses from under a 1969 Cadillac dashboard. They were color stripped and nice and flexible.I sorted them against the Riviera shop manual and used the colored sections where they were exposed. If the colored pieces were not long enough I spliced in standard black hose for the hidden areas.Bernie
