Adambravo
Got a replacement clock on my '63 which is still running a bit erratically. My mechanic suggested it's probably been sitting for a while and just needs to get used to running. A friend suggested shooting a bit of compressed air into the gap where the stem (to set the time) pokes out of the front of the clock. Most of the products I've seen--eg to clean computer keyboard--have some sort of chemical agent in addition to the air. Thoughts? Is this worth pursuing? Adambravo
@RivNut: Perhaps a number of earlier posts have been deleted, as a search for "clock compressed air" yielded no results, which us why I posted the question. I had already skimmed the "clock" topics; I'm now a bit clearer on the running slow/fast issue, but I didn't see anything specific to my issue. RivNut
I searched the archives and found your orginal post about the cruise control and clock dated Nov, 2010. In it I described how to remove the clock and the best method of cleaning it.
