Does anyone know how to find out if a 1941 Buick staff car painted in Army scheme was in fact used in the Army?

Thank you

I am aware of a 1941 Special Convertible that has a givernment property tag on it. The tag number was the same as the frame number without the last digit.

If the car was actually government property, it should have a tag, The one I'm aware of had its tag right by the body plate.

Also, its paint code will probably have "SO" or somethig else odd on the body plate. If it's a standard paint code, the car's been repainted.

There was one back in the 80's that came to a Buick National in Flint. The owner had it painted as a staff car, as he didn't have time to refinish the car properly. It drew quite a crowd
