Tom_Overfield
As luck would have it, years ago when I had my top parts chromed, apparently there were threaded inserts in the two clevises that attach the top to the square threaded screws turned by the electric top motor. These inserts must have melted out during the chroming process.Several months ago in the Way of the Zephyr, there was an ad for two top motors. I called as soon as I got the magazine but they had already been sold. The seller told me the motors included the gear reductions as well as the two clevisses that ride up and down the screw. Here is hoping whoever bought these motors has the clevisses and would be willing to either sell them, or, allow me to borrow one so I can make arraingments to have two of these threaded inserts made.ThanksTom Overfield
