about to change the trans and diff oil. What do you all recommend, it's a 27'

Since it has been a week with no response, I'll chime in with what I know.

Almost all cars of that era require a 600 weight oil in the gear cases. Trans. and diff.

Lubriplate still makes this oil but is most reasonable from one of the Ford model A

vendors.

Do not use the HP gear oils as there is a possibility that red metals (bronze/brass)

may be affected.

In the absence of a manual for your car, this is good rule of thumb.

yeah I have a owners manual and it didn't give a weight that's why I asked....thanks for the tip
