old car fan
Thanks, seems like it was longer than that, but time flies i guess, pot metal stinks
startergenrebuilder
If it is a casting that is not being reproduced yet let me know. I've done quite a few generators, starters & distributors and had to machine new housings to replace the old pot metal housings. They look just like original when complete. Also on the Remy 3-brush units, I can usually modify the unit accept a later style field case and brush housing. They still look pretty close to original. Let me know if I can help you ou at all.JasonAdvanced Electrical Rebuilderswww.aerrebuild.com

startergenrebuilder
For what it's worth, I show three different generator numbers for a 1925 Paige:Remy Gen # 917-U uses C/E Housing # 811848Remy Gen # 923-A uses C/E Housing # 812124Remy Gen # 913-H uses C/E Housing # 811851In the 1925 book, it doesn't show any onther generators using the same housing. They used a lot of the same basic casting with minor differences in those years. So put this in your useless information pile. But I figured since I looked it up I'd share what I found.JasonAdvanced Electrical Rebuilderswww.aerrebuild.com
