Bill Harmatuk
I have, thanks to E Bay etc, 5 outside door handles for my 30 Chrysler CJ-6.I have the original, outside locking door handle, that came with the car, with keys, but the pot metal escutcheon is broken in half. The escutcheon for the locking handle is totally different from the non-locking handles. The locking handle escutcheon has shoulders that extend into the door, sheet metal, at/around, the mounting screws. (passenger side only).Don't want to pay an arm and a leg but some of you guys seem to have a lot of stuff laying around. I could probably make a non locking handle work but thought I would put this out there just to see what happens.Non locking handles that need chrome, go for around 20 to 40 dollars.I have the lock and the handle .... I need that funky escutcheon or complete handle with no lock, to repair the one I have. Thanks and I'll add pictures later.
