alsfarms
I need one 20" 7 lug wire wheel to complete a set for a 1929 Nash Advance 6. Is it a chance that one of you Franklin guys may have a loose wheel you would sell? I understand Nash, Hudson Franklin and Packard used the same wheel. Please look in your spares pile and see if you can help me out. I will attach a couple of pictures even though you may know what I need. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond if you can help me.Al
Steve Braverman
I believe that the only year Franklin used 20" wire wheels was in 1928, and they had the lugs under the hubcap. This does not look like a Franklin wheel.
alsfarms
Hello Steve, Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. I am certainly NOT an expert when it comes to Franklin. My only information comes by word of mouth that Franklin did use a 7 lug wheel. That information may be right or wrong. Would one of the Franklin guys share some information regarding wheels with me?Alan
Steve Braverman
I'm pretty sure that the 1929 Franklin wire wheels had exposed lugs, but they had 19 inch wheels.
alsfarms
Hello Steve,Do you happen to have a picture of the Franklin wheel you speak about? If so, please post one here. I am trying to learn about this style wheel. Hudson also uses a 7 lug wheel but, like you say about Franklin, they also use a 19".Thanks,Alan
