Electric starters

I have two 1914 Metz cars and the one I am restoring doesn't have an electric starter. The other car has a Gray and Davis electric starter and dynamo generator with the magneto, but I am told the Gray and Davis electric starters are near impossible to find.

What kind of electric starters are all you brass guys putting on cars? The Metz has a plate on the driver side of the engine where it had one at one time and there are teeth on the back of the gearless transmission flywheel, so I am thinking this is not going to be too big a problem? Who has done this before and can offer advice and / or suggestions?
