slightmiss
I bought this engine and was wondering if anyone can identify it. the bore and stroke seems to be 5 x 5. don't worry about the axles and rims those are to a different car.
Ben Popadak
Can't identify your engine and no I wont worry about your axles but I'm still curious. What do the axles go to?

Guest AONEMACH
This may be a Fairmount railroad cart engine?
slightmiss
I thought the fairmount railroad cart engines were all 2 stroke. I will dig the rest of the motor out this week and see if I can get some more photos of it to post I didn't realize it would be this hard.

Guest AONEMACH
Looks like maybe its a later model Schacht motor, did you look for serial numbers as in circled photo? The flywheel you have does not have the fins for cooling as the one pictured but its not to say someone added this flywheel later. I checked all info i have and this is my best idea. Also I would be interested in this if it were for sale.
slightmiss
I posted this engine all around the net and I have had a lot reponse but nothing definate yet. Also there is no serial numbers on the top of the jug or anywhere I could find. I would be interested in selling it if I had a clue on its value. slightmiss
Thanks for your help I think I found it! It was a wild goose chase of sites but finally found it on a marine engine site. It is a Beilfuss motor co. engine and from what I have found they made stationary, marine and car engines. they supplyed engines to the Luvernes car company from 1904 to 1909. Also they supplyed replacement engines for cars and people building there own 1 off cars.
slightmiss
The big question is what is this rare duck worth or is there even a market for it because it's only going to take up space in my garage.
