Colin Spong
We are working on a 1937 LZ Coupe in England that was converted to 12 volts many years ago. As the vacuum wiper motor will need replacement does anybody know if any of the 12 volt electric wiper conversions used on Ford V8's will fit the 1937 LZ? The configuration on the LZ is wipers mounted on the cowl and operating "clap hands" direction. Any information would be much appreciated....Thank you. peecher
Colin, Bob Drake reproductions offer a 12 volt wiper conversion kit that might just work you? The one offered for the '40 Ford should give the right "sweep" and the '40 Fords "park" to the center. I suspect that most if not all Trico vacuum motors have similar if not the same mounting lugs. The kits are $200. Bob Drake Reproductions, Inc. Street Rod & Original Ford Parts
