Guest MARTINOS1
hi, i marked the drive shaft by the transmission b4 pulling the trans out...do i have to mark the rear end to, or can i just pulled it out now..its got the 2-3 piece tube that goes around the drive shaft...i saw the marks on the spline that goes into the trans, but i don't know whats going on in the rear end..i was told i can just pull it out now and line it up to the trans when i put it back in... thank you all for your time and i appreciate all your answers
Pete Phillips
I think you can just pull it out of the rear end and put it back whatever way it goes in. At least, that's the way I did it on a 1956 Special last year, and it went back in and worked just fine.Pete Phillips, BCA #7338Leonard, TX

60FlatTop
I read through my shop manual pretty well before I did it. No special issues. And I like showing off this picture.
