Guest Richard Vincent
Are there any compatable points and condensers that will fit the 1928 Standard other than those at Bob's? I heard some late model chev truck P&C's may work. Even better if it can be bought in an auto parts chain.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
If you have your old ones, take them to your local auto parts store. NAPA if there is one in your town. Find the oldest guy there to help you. Not picking on the young ones, but experience counts. He should be able to compare yours to ones in his catalougs. I just did this for my '50. Good luck. Guest Richard Vincent
Here is what I found.Buick 1928-1930 6 Cylinder<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Points CS763A at NAPACondenser RR174 at NAPARotor RR 83 at NAPA I also found a compatable sediment bowl at NAPA made by Balkamp - part number BK7302362, a much better fit than some others I found on various sites. They also have a distributor cap for a Buick 6 cyl 1929-30 (7mm wires) - RR95. (I have 7mm wires on my car so this is also compatable) All have been installed and work fine.
