Updating my other thread... finally got some pics of the two crankshafts... still haven't gotten up with a machine shop yet about making an insert for the automatic 263 to into the '40 special.... The first pic is of the 248 crank with the pilot bushing... second is the 263 crank from the dynaflow... last one is the torque converter of the dynaflow, showing how it's nose fits inside the crankshaft...

I have read recently that there was a note in an old Hollander's manual about being able to use the automatic engine with a 3-speed... I have not been able to locate this article or note... Does anyone have it? Or know where I can find it?
