lancemb
Can somebody please help ID these? I believe these are trunk mouldings to something. The 2 cars that come to mind that had mouldings like this are 57 Buick Roadmasters and 58 Corvettes, but these are not to either of those. The part numbers cast into the back are BLC 1170218 RH and 1170219 LH BLC. They are about 33" from point to point. Thanks for any help!
Dandy Dave
Kind of remind me of these fender wrap around pieces. May not be Chysler but something similar. roadkillontheweb
Looks like postwar 1946-50 era Chrysler/Desoto part numbers but the cast in numbers are different than the parts numbers in the books. More than likely front fender chrome, How much are you asking for them? I can take them to Chrysler meets and match them up visually
lancemb
Not sure the true value since I don't know exactly what they are for but I'd sell them for $40 without being sure. They are probably valuable for the right person! There is some heavier bubbling in the chrome on the short part and some much lighter smaller bubbling on the longer part. No cracks or breaks. roadkillontheweb
I just pulled some of my old notes on casting numbers and I don't think they are Chrysler. I suspect they are for the trunk lid on a 1956 Buick Roadmaster 4 door. The left hand part number shows up when doing a Google search. Hope this helps? Dave Mellor NJ
Although they do resemble the chrome moldings on that 46 Chrysler, those appear to continue around unbroken. lancemb's pieces are blunt ended on the short side and have a stud near the end which indicates it starts in an inside corner or at the edge of a body panel, possibly mathing up to a molding on an adlacent panel
lancemb
<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->roadkillontheweb<!-- google_ad_section_end --> - I believe you're correct and thanks! I thought I tried a Google search but I guess not! 56 Roadmaster it is (gee I was close thinking the 57 but am not as familiar with the 56 Buicks). Thanks again!
