1937hd45
This should be posted on www.PreWarCar.com My guess is that it was on a cyclecar.
Rick Hoover
What appears to be a crank hole at the bottom throws me. Other than that, it looks like a 1904 Gardner-Serpollet Steamer.
oldeekar
That was my guess also. I found photos of a 1904 Gardner Serpollet and the front fenders do look like that but mine is a wagonnette with a massive brass windshield this car was repowered with a 1914 model t drive train thank you for your comeback Bill
Guest
1937hd45,
I'm confused, where on www.prewarcar.com would this get posted? Guest
It seems to me to be a Gardner-Serpollet 1906
CONDENSER; that is the reason why there is no tube to fill it. There should be a steam inlet at the top, with a pressure relief valve in case of over heating and a water outlet at the bottom, going to a pump feeding the water tank

ronbarn
Peter and Joris - Don't you think it might be a good idea to have a link with the PreWarCar site. It certainly has been interesting for a number of our members and this web master has really been active on our DF, a real DFer.
[ 02-11-2002: Message edited by: ronbarn ]
