trimacar
I would think Clive Cussler would be all over that one, he loves town cars and has a bunch......although he might prefer restored cars........it always comes down to what it costs to restore the thing...... Tom_Overfield
The nice thing about this one would be the stainless grill, no crappy pot metal to deal with. Tom
40ZephSedan
Even though a '42 front and a '41 rear, etc, are others surprised such a rare body style went for only $11,710? Is no talk of a 42 auto tranny. Just a clone, or could it be that it was an original '41 that took a while to custom build so they put on a '42 grill etc at the end of the year and was actually originally titled as a '42? They do that with RV titles sometimes.
Tom_Overfield
I know of at least one other Bruin that was modifyed with a later front end, so we know that it was done on at least two occasions. Our resident Lincoln expert, John Murphy can fill us in on these modifications I am sure. This Bruin having a 42 front end, has a 41 rear end with a post war rear bumper. It is also different from the 40 in that the 40 carried the spare on the trunk lid. Here are two photos of one of John's Bruins.I think whoever bought this car got a steal.Tom
RShepherd
That looks very much like the car that was custom made for Eleanor (Mrs. Edsel) Ford.
