Can someone tell me how to get the ignition switch out of my "71" skylark? I have removed the steering wheel, blinker rocker switch, and the locking plate, now what do I do?

Are you trying to remove the actual electric switch, or the lock cylinder? Note that the ignition switch is actually at the base of the steering column on top of the column and is actuated by a rod from the lock cylinder. The steering column must be dropped to access the switch.

If, however, you are actually trying to remove the lock cylinder, here's an illustrated guide. Note that the following website actually details the tightening of the tilt mechanism screws on a tilt column, but just stop at the step where the lock cylinder comes out.
