RICK YOUNG
I talking to a guy from Ames today....he was telling me about waiting for a appointment near the Gateway Motel sometime in late July. When up pulls a beautiful old Buick. 2 guys get out and pop the trunk. One pulls out a bottle of Jack Daniels and pours out a glass full, the other gets out a trumpet and starts playing it right there in the parking lot.His final comment "those 'Buick People' you gotta love em". JoelsBuicks
For some reason, thoughts of Herb Alpert came to mind. Would love to have seen this!

Thriller
Ah Herb...I think I've got some vinyl of him here...of course, that would mean looking. That would have been neat...maybe I should practice with the sax and before you know it we would have a BCA Parking Lot Band. I never was that good though.... Guest wildcat465
Drinking in the parking lot, who would do such a thing??Derek, nothing worse sounding than a sax being played by a lousy saxaphonist (is that a real word????). So spare us you drunken Canuckistani.

Guest santa fe
New to the forum, but I do remember the moment. It was my cousin and I, we had just drove in from New mexico in my 1960 Le Sabre on Friday afternoon. Room wasn't ready yet so we were cleaning and getting the bugs off. What better way to clean than with a glass of Jack and some good sounds.
