i am looking at a 1925 chrysler 58 but there is no paper work or dash number to identify it as a 1925 or a 58

i thought i would measure the wheel base an use that to help identify it but its 106" and not 1-9" like whats posted in information books.

is there any sure way to identify the year if i can not find the numbers? if i file for a lost pink slip wont i have to show a frame number? are there any frame numbers?

thanks for the help

by the way i just joined in on this and i dont know how to use it very well so i posted the same request in the wrong place before

Not certain if Chrysler and Dodge did the same thing, but look just above the right front spring (above the rear spring perch) for a number. Chrysler may have stamped their numbers on a cross member instead. I just can't recall.

On the very early Chryslers the serial number were also stamped on the rear left frame horn in only numbers after changing to the Fedco ID system (if I remember right).

A serial number of WW121P would be stamped 001211.

This was to ID the car in case of theft or the loss of the dash tag.
