Hi thinking of doing an Ac Delete cover on my 70 S. OPGI has the cover, but have any of you guys done this? Will I still need to use the heater control valve on the intake? How much of the wiring will I need to keep or get rid of? Thanks alot!

You do not need the heater control valve, it only closes when the A/C is at MAX, otherwise it remains open. You need to retain the vacuum hoses and control on the dash, since the vacuum operated flapper valves inside the HVAC box under the dash are still used. The only wiring that is removed is the wiring that controls the A/C compressor. Everything else is needed for the heater and defroster.

Thanks Joe. Sounds good, I just hope it looks ok. Have you had a car that you did this too? And were you happy with it?

I've had cars that I've deleted the A/C on previously, but I have not used the aftermarket air box. I'm at an age now where I'm reinstalling those A/C units... :D
