More from Dodge Brothers Gettysburg Meet 2010

Ok I noticed hardly any pictures posted from Getty... I KNOW I saw you guys with cameras. Here's a few from my pile. Sorry if it seems like home movies: first few are some from the very cool Route 66 as we blazed a trail from San Diego to Getty! My Dad (79 yrs old) drove the majority of the nearly 6500 mile round trip! If you just want to see the cars, skip down to the end. (This thing lets you do only 10 pix per reply).

We stopped at the Eisenhower Estate just across from the Battlefields. I like Ike! And by the way, check out the Park Ranger standing at the doorway of Ike's house. Is it my imagination, or does he look like the ghost of FDR?? You need to click on the picture a couple of times to really zoom in.

We witnessed cows being robotically milked (which the cows seemed to thoroughly enjoy) And we learned that happy cows produce more milk. Check out these fine specimens. From the farm, we were invited to a gentleman's monster garage filled with everything from Packards to Fire Engines. Sweet.

From here we traveled to Maryland for a tour of the Shriver estate. A Shriver (Maria) is married to our very own California Governator. This seemed like a perfect background to pose an old car so I took advantage of it with the Phaeton. You'll notice in one shot, a Junior Dodge Brother taking a fancy to this DA. An old Fire Station is seen along the way.

OK-- Last of the cars!

Then, early Saturday morning, we said our goodbyes to all our great friends in the Dodge Brothers Club, we packed the Phaeton on the trailer and headed out to stay with friends in North Carolina, before heading back to beautiful San Diego. Awesome trip!! Thanks for watching-Joe

Johm, that belonged to the crazy Canuck. He has a factory brochure in that color scheme, it actually looks pretty good. It also gave us someone to bust on all week, until Joe moved Moline from Ill. to Indiana. The restoration quality is excellant.

I would absolutely LOVE to see that factory brochure. The paint job reminds me of a 1929 L-29 Cord that was painted with wild horizontal stripes.
