BIZARRE 1971 Customized Electra!

Attached are some photos I just stumbled on of a radically-customized 1971 Buick Electra! Anyone know anything about this car??

Rob, do some searches on the forums. This car has been discussed in the past. I am not sure there ever has been a definitive answer as to the purpose, but the most plausible was the rear wheels drop down for when the car is being used as a tow vehicle. I have seen this car a couple times, it pops up at Hershey every now and again. Trust me, the first time you see it you sure do a double take.

I saw it at Hershey about 2 years ago, but no one was around it at the time other then other curious people like myself.

I like it; even more if it serves something.

It is still much better than those donks with a candy color on 22"rims etcetc That is abuse IMHO.
