Guest binghaje
Buick Code "6W" found on the cowl tag means "6-Wheel" or Side Mount fender option installed at the factory. My question is did ALL cars, ALL models at ALL Plants contain this code in 1938 if the car was a genuine, factory original Side Mount car? Did a side mount car ever leave the factory without this code?I'm not referring to mistakes by the assembly workers - I know that happened, meaning anything's possible. I'm referring to "the vast majority" / typical practice.Did some plants use this code and others not? Was the code used only on certain models? If I am being judged at a BCA event, will I be docked for having side mounts and no code on the cowl tag? Guest prs519
I will check but I do believe my (sold) 37 Limited has no designator. As I recall all ofthe Roadmasters and LImiteds were 6 wheel from the factory, so I cannot imagineit being a deductible issue. Will you let us know what you find? Thanks.
