Barney Eaton
I just saw the list of cars entered for judging and we presently have 27 Reattas. In the last three weeks that number has jumped from 14 to 27 almost 50% and we have 3 weeks to go.... so the number could jump another 12-16 cars. The problem I see is judges, we presently have 8 signed up, for 30 cars we need 12 minimum. If you are going to Ames, please consider judging. If you have never judged, there is a judges meeting that walks you through the items to look for and how you use the forms, you get a free breakfast on Friday morning, and will be placed on a team with experienced judges so you are not out there alone. It does not matter if you are taking a Reatta and/or showing it. If you have a Reatta to be judged, you will be placed on a team so that you do not judge your own car (seems fair) Judges are often the hardest thing to recrute. As of yesterday there are a total of 251 Buicks registered, 76 are for display leaving 175 that need to be judged. We have 76 judges signed up and there are 4 per team plus captains etc . We like to have no more than 10 car for a 4 person team to judge and we are very close. However there will be classes that only have 3-7 cars, and the Reattas already have 27. We need you.
