padgett
Prolly easier to swap the whole column. Have to swap keys also. Edited June 24, 2010 by padgett (see edit history)
Jim
Definitely easier to replace the whole column. You need a special tool to remove the snap ring that holds the column up and you need the tool to hold the column up when you are putting it back together. Once inside, the wires for the directional lights and other items are in the way and tight.
handmedownreatta
isn't the other column going to have the wrong resistance for the vats?
padgett
Forgot about that, might have to change a black box also. Still easier than disassembling the column and not can do at leasure.
Jim
Oops, I should have caught that also. Whenever I pull a column from a car I tywrap the pass code box to the column so when I send it out the box can be installed with the new column so the vats works. padgett
Might measure the key resistance, you hava a 1 in 15 chance they are the same.
rjfranken
Thanks all. I suspect I follow a wire to find the "black box".
